The Simulation division of Santa Anna performs research and development related to tools, methods, analysis, and applications for engineering cyber-physical systems, i.e., systems typically containing both hardware and software. Regarding applications and systems, sustainability usually has priority. Developed software and prototypes are usually open source.
One important goal is development and usage of the OpenModelica open source implementation of the Modelica computer language (also named Modelica modeling language, read more here), and related standards including FMI, SSP, DCP, eFMI, as well as OpenModelica associated open-source tools and libraries, collectively named the OpenModelica Environment.
An additional important goal is usage and development of artificial intelligence based modeling and its integration with the abovementioned equation-based modeling and simulation technology.
